A post with some pictures...how nice!

Well I actually have a couple of free minutes so I will post a couple of pictures. Here is a picture of Alex brushing his teeth. He loves to brush his teeth. Some of the other pictures are just random ones of him. Two of them are when we went to the pumpkin patch in Farmington last week for family home evening. We took Alex and picked out a few pumpkins. He thought he could just pick up any pumpkin. He is pretty strong but those pumpkins weighed alot. We got four pumpkins and they weighed 80 lbs combined. At the first of the month Alex went for his 15 months check up and he weighed 21 lbs 2 oz and was 30 1/2 inches long. He is doing well. He is full of energy and loves to climb on anything he can.

Long Time No Post

Well since our wonderful moving post we have finally moved. We have been in our nice home for about a month. In between our move we lived with my parents for a little over a month. It was suppose to be two weeks at most (haha). While living at my parents Alex turned 1 years old. And he decided since he was one he would start walking. Now he is walking like crazy but he still a little too clumsy to run yet. We moved into our house the weekend of the 24th of July. We are still trying to decorate but we have most of our boxes unpacked. Just a few decorations left in boxes waiting to be hung. But I don't have a lot of help from my shadow (Alex). He doesn't like me to ignore him. We love our neighborhood in Woods Cross it is super nice with tons of kids Alex's age. Well sorry for the short post. I will download pictures this weekend and we will have tons of pictures of 4th of July, Alex's birthday, and our new home.

Selling and more

As you move into your first place you don't think you will grow out of it so quickly but unfortunately we did. We probably just have too much stuff and so we are going to move. Where we aren't quite sure. We have found a few homes we really like but until we sell our own home we can't do much. We haven't put our house on the market because we have some work to do. But it will be soon. Trying to fix up your house while watching a nine month old is a little bit difficult. But we are working on it. The next big project is getting it "open house ready" ha..ha.. That is the big thing. We have to pack a bunch of stuff even if we aren't moving just so it doesn't look so lived in. We are looking at homes from Bountiful to Layton. We are excited to have our own home and yard. Alex is getting big and getting into everything. And if any of you have been around him they know I'm not exaggerating. Now that the weather is starting to be nicer we have played outside a little more. Here are a couple pictures of Alex.

Life is as follows...

Well I figure I should post something since it has been a week. I haven't had a chance to upload pictures although I had the best of intentions to do so today. Alex is crawling way too fast for his own good. And now he has figured out how to pull himself up on things. He doesn't realize that many things can't support him such as: guitars, love sacs, toys etc. I have a feeling the bumps and bruises are just a start of things to come. Alex is learning how to do stairs. He doesn't catch on quick with those which I am not too upset about. At work he tries to go up and down but fails both ways. This week Alex will get a new cousin in Virginia they are going to name her Kaydee (sp). Unfortunately all of Alex's cousins that are close to his age are girls. He will have four girl cousins within an 11 month span. So we will have to make friends with little boys in the ward or something.
Chris is working four ten hour days so he is able to be home with us on Fridays. I don't work Fridays either. Chris is working on learning his guitars better both acoustic and electric. Most of his spare time is spent playing with Alex. Most of my time is spent chasing Alex or trying to do laundry. I wish I could say my house was spotless but...that isn't the case. But I was able to vacuum today. That was an accomplishment. I'm working three days a week these days. I am doing some of the book-keeping and invoicing. Things are getting harder now that Alex is mobile. I spend lots of time chasing him. But that is all part of life. Well I better go.

Valentines etc..

In our family Valentines isn't as big of holiday as many others. But Chris and I went out to dinner on Thursday night to beat the rush. We went to MacCool's in Layton, which was great. My mom watched Alex which was very nice. Then we ran to the mall for a couple things. It was great to have my mom watch Alex because he is on the go now most of the time. The only time he slows down is to eat and sleep and that is rare.
On Friday Chris had the day off and we ran some errands and looked at a couple houses. Then we went over to Missy and Brandon's house and hung out with Missy and the kids for a while. When I was feeding Alex on Friday night I decided to give him some of the cereal puffs. We have attempted to give him puffs on a few occasions. He hates them. He gags and normally throws up. Our pediatrician says just keep trying every now and then. So we tried once again on Friday night and the results were similar. He gagged on them and tried to spit them out.
On Saturday for the actual Valentines day we hung out with my family. My sister was up here and we hung out with her and she spent time with Alex. Who by the way loves Brittany. As some of you know Alex isn't friendly sometimes.
On Sunday we decided to go to my parents church since it was later. I decided to try to gel Alex's hair. It was pretty funny and it stayed in until this morning when I bathed him. Here are a few pictures.
Sorry the pictures are kinda weird. Still learning how to arrange and rotate pictures.

Alex is 7 Months

Alex turned 7 months on February 5th. Here are a couple pictures of what he did that day. He is getting so big. He is starting to crawl and I think he is trying to get some teeth. He is extremely chatty and he loves to get into things. He is still figuring out what animals are but he liked sitting on Chelsea.

Feeding Time

On Tuesday after I was done feeding Alex lunch I decided to get myself some lunch. Alex was just sitting in his high chair entranced with something on the counter but I couldn't figure out what it was. Then I noticed him nodding off. He finally fell fast asleep in the high chair. Even though it was hilarious I was trying not to wake him up. But I was able to snap a few pictures of him.

Calling for Help

So since I started this blog not much has been going on. But I do have some problems. How do I make it so nice and cute like so many are? Give me some websites or suggestions or something.

Clarify

I suppose I should clarify that Desi isn't my child. Most of you know that I just have Alex. Destiny is my sister Brittany's little girl. But she has been a very big part of our life and we love her very much.

Happy Birthday Desi!!!

I can't believe it has been a year since Des was born. She started out small but now she has blossomed and grown into a beautiful little girl. She is very close to walking and she makes all sorts of sounds. We love her so much and are so glad she can be with us.

Frank Ramirez

Please have Frank Ramirez in your thoughts and prayers throughout the week. He was involved in a severe work accident yesterday. We don't know his status but there is injuries to his back and his head. As much as we have disliked him we still never want anything this awful to happen to anyone. Please just pray for both him and his children. They need all the support they can get. Thanks-Krys

Halloween

For Chris' birthday we just hung out with my parents and had dinner. We decided to take some pictures of Alex in his monster costume. As we were taking the pictures he decided to explode in his outfit ruining it for the night. I guess that's what happens with a small baby. Thankfully we had pictures done at Target a few weeks before.

Hi

We decided to start a blog so people can see what our family is up to. Chris, Alex and I are very busy but we would love to keep in touch with our friends and family. Hopefully I can keep this up to date with fun things that happen in our lives.
